I am a makeup addict. Everyone who has been around for a little bit might know that my biggest weakness is lip products. I decided to treat myself to a lipstick shopping haul at one of my favorite makeup shops, ColourPop. I absolutely love ColourPop because the products are great, are well priced, and a cherry on top—ColourPop is cruelty-free!
I went to the website, and like normal filled my cart with way more than I could ever afford. This time, however, I decided to throw in some pressed powder eyeshadows too! After I filled my cart, I went and removed about 90% of the items in my cart, settling for 4 pressed powders (which came with a free palette), one lip product, and another palette.
Immediately, I had to put this on and try it out. I had only every bought lip glosses and lippie stix from ColourPop and I became so excited to try the Ultra Matte Lip (though the colors I really wanted were sold out.
First thoughts are that the color goes on so well, only one layer is needed. Second, I realized that mistakes are fairly difficult to fix because the product dries matte so quickly that I just wasn’t quick enough to wipe it off. So be careful! The liquid lip looks amazing and I love the way it feels, I barely notice that it is on.
I decided to go with Cute Alert, despite preferring the shimmery shadows because I thought it would be a nice color to add to my crease underneath a lot of eyeshadows that I already own. I am also a fan of the maroon color with my skin tone.
Double Date is more purple than anything I already own, but again, the color goes well with my skin tone.
I really love this shade because it’s neutral with hints of pink and gold. I mostly wear shimmery neutral pinks, so I know that I will love it!
This is the color I am most excited about because this shade of green is my favorite color. The muted greens look good with my pale complexion, but I don’t own anything like this. I am so excited to try out this shadow! Not sure when my next opportunity will be though, as I am always working these days.
This palette came with the purchase of 4 pressed powders and has 4 magnetic spots, very convenient.
I decided to buy the empty palette because I get a fair amount of magnetic pressed powders through my Ipsy Glam Bag subscription but nowhere to put them. The empty palette allows for any shape and size magnetic powder—so nice!
